Well, I thought getting the Antichrist Unibomber Munzbreon Punbreon Umbreon Chupa Surprise figure would've been harder...
I can't wait to have it here *w*
I also got my Jolteon Jakks today in the mail! It's such a neat model, but I think Jakks figures used to be bigger before...? I was surprised by how tiny it looks, yet it's very detailed and well made. Here's my current Jolteon collection, minus the Mega Blok which I stupidly forgot to include ^^'
I wanted to add something related to Yatterman and/or Otasukeman, but I forgot what! All I know is, there are a lot of things on Yahoo Auctions that I'd like to buy (specially for Yatterman, as there never was much merchandise made for Otasukeman ^^' ) but I should first get some money from, like, commissions... but since I'm too art slumped, I am too scared to take new ones and get too overwhelmed by them :C
I suppose I could make a public Christmas wishlist or something but I don't want to ask people to get me stuff either ^^' Guess I'll use this as a motivation as try to draw more and finish what I owe people!
EDIT: no wait I remembered what I wanted to say, I also got myself this set of mini figures from Otasukeman! There are TWO tiny tiny figures of Sekovitch in the box *w* he got much less merchandise than Boyacky and he's just as cute! WHY? :C
The only other figure I know for sure it exists of him, I still have to see pop up for sale. I fear it's quite rare.

Are you sick of my Time Bokan posts yet? Either way I don't care.
So, as I said in a previous entry, today I got a big package of books from Japan! And guess what, they're about the Time Bokan series (Yatterman, Otasukeman, Ippatsuman and so on). I think it's awesome that I can now recognize EVERY evil trio even when they're not wearing their uniforms, but just by looking at their faces! I am improving, w00t.
And now more than ever, I want to make a website about these series because... I just want to share the love!
Also, Ingrid! I have the things to try and translate I had talked to you about.

I seriously can't wait to have that Jolteon figure now. And I kind of want the Boyacky too even if I'm sorta bearing a grudge against him these days >.>
By the way I have officially stopped to try and understand the logic behind Italian post. I have yet to receive a book that was sent FROM INSIDE ITALY two weeks ago, while I got today some books that were sent three weeks ago or so from JAPAN. Also, today I got one package from Toz that was sent a week BEFORE another one that I got a couple days ago instead. Seriously, WHY!? |

| Thoughts on a awesome yet unknonw series |

I was looking for images (fanarts, or even official stuff) for the Otasukeman series, and it's proving to be MUCH more difficult than I had predicted! The series is pretty much obscure EVEN IN JAPAN despite being in the same series of Yatterman. Ah, well :C
Anyway, today I found these images that take part in episode 47:
I had already found a fanart with the Ojamaman (the villains) as anthro animals but I thought it was just the artist's fantasy! Ahaha, I can't wait to watch this episode XD I also kinda want to post those images on furry imageboards. I mean, it's a higher quality thing than most anthro stuff out there >.>
Back on episodes "I" watched, I laughed out loud at this scene.
As you can easily guess, it was an accidental kiss, but AGFDFGSFSSFGfg Boyacky and Tonzra kinda were my yaoi OTP in Yatterman, should I ship Sekovitch and Dowalski too now? XD
These, instead, are scenes that were censored from the Italian version of the ending theme!
I suppose this one was because of their full nudity! But hey they're cavemen, and covered in fuzz so nothing is shown... Pretty weird anyway, since the scenes of Atasha's fully naked breast were never censored in the series!
This one... I can maybe understand. But I still don't think it's a good thing to censor anything nazi-related, SPECIALLY in a cartoon were the protagonists travel across time through real historical events!
This (and some other war scenes) were possibly removed due to their implied violence. IDKN really though.
Anyway, random thought of the day: the whole series is centered on the fact that, in the year 2980, time travels are something everyone can do, so a special police force (the Time Patrol) has to stop those who want to change the historical events for their own goals.
The three (well, four actually, if you count Gekigasky the handsome blonde) evil guys are actually members of the Time Patrol, but have a secret identity as the Ojamaman, who take orders from a mysterious individual called Tomomot who orders them to change historical events according to his own will. In fact, Tomomot has written a history book in which events are different from those that really happened, and want the Ojamaman to make them happen like in the book.
The heroes of the series, Hikaru and Nana, are part of the Time Patrol as well, but have a secret identity as the Otasukeman, that of course battle against the Ojamaman gang to save history.
Usually, what Tomomot orders to change is rather silly things (for example, America was not discovered by Colombus but by a cousin of Tomomot's, Dolombus; or, Lawrence of Egypt was instead called Lawrence the Coward; stuff like that). What I wondered is: what if Tomomot ordered to change some really tragic event into something... funny instead? Like, Hitler didn't act the way he acted, but instead dedicated his life to collecting flowers? Would the heroes Otasukeman still want to stop the Ojamaman from changing history, thus saving the life of millions people...?
I think this is perfect thought material for a more serious view on the series. |

I am so glad I don't want to collect all Yatterman figures that are out there.
I mean, look at the price.
Ah, and this too.
Yesterday I craved and after watching them on Youtube, I finally bought the Italian Otasukmean DVDs! Disappointing though, they lack Japanese audio :/ the Yatterman DVDs had it so I was hoping they'd have it too.
Sekovitch is SO adorable though omg I love him already ;w;
I kinda want to make a custom plush of him following the pattern of the Boyacky one I own XD
They look (and act) extremely similar anyway >.> |
